Four steps to find your course

   Use the Filters button to narrow by your predicted grade, Russell Group only, or to hide courses that don't accept T Levels.

   Tap "Official page" on any card to open the uni's own admissions page. Always check there before applying - requirements update every cycle.

   Tap "Save" on any card to build a shortlist - no account needed. Open it from the bookmark icon in the top bar, and share it as a link with a friend, parent or teacher.

Real example. Search "Manchester Computer Science" and filter to Merit or above. Manchester Metropolitan takes a Merit T Level Digital. The University of Manchester doesn't accept T Level Digital for Computer Science at all - you'd need A Level Maths. Same city, opposite answers. This is why every card matters.

How to read the directory

Each card shows one course at one uni. Here's what every piece of information means.

• Subject toggle

  Switch between T Level Digital, Engineering, Health, Finance and Education at the top of the directory. Education covers the T Level published as both Education and Early Years and the older Education and Childcare - they are the same qualification. On a phone the row scrolls sideways, so swipe it to reach the subjects off the right-hand edge. Each subject has its own set of courses, grade requirements, and pathway rules.

• Grade required

  The minimum overall T Level grade the uni asks for: Pass, Merit, Distinction, or Distinction*. Some review case-by-case (no fixed grade), and some don't accept T Levels at all. The grey text under the badge shows the uni's exact wording including any A Level Maths add-on (common for Engineering courses).

• Which pathways count

  Some T Levels split into named pathways or specialisms - T Level Digital, for example, has Software Production, Digital Support Services, and Digital Business Services. Some unis accept every pathway within a subject, others only specific ones. This line shows what the uni said about yours. Pick your subject at the top of the directory to see the exact wording for your courses.

• Pathway confirmed

  If a card shows the green "Pathway confirmed" badge, the uni has explicitly named which T Level pathways or specialisms it accepts - match yours and you're safe to apply. If the badge is missing, the uni accepts the subject but hasn't told us which specific pathways count. Email admissions before applying to confirm yours is covered.

FAQ

• Do universities accept T Levels?

  Yes. Most UK universities now accept T Levels for at least some courses. T Levels are Level 3 qualifications equivalent to three A Levels, and UCAS officially assigns them tariff points. Acceptance is course-by-course though, even at the same uni one degree might welcome T Level Digital while another rejects it. That's what this directory is for: check each specific course before applying.

• Does my T Level pathway or specialism matter?

  Yes. Some universities accept all pathways or specialisms within a subject, others specify which ones qualify. If a course doesn't show "Pathway confirmed", contact admissions before applying to confirm yours counts.

• What if I'm predicted Merit but the course asks for Distinction?

  It is worth one of your five choices, not all five. The published grade is a minimum, and admissions teams do read the whole application, so a one-band gap can sometimes be closed by a strong personal statement and reference - but that is not guaranteed and no university promises it. Email the admissions team and ask directly whether they would consider your predicted grades; they answer this every day and the reply tells you more than any guess. Meanwhile, put courses tagged "Case-by-case" and courses asking for Merit on the rest of your list, so you have offers you comfortably meet. Foundation-year routes are also a real option: they add a year but ask for lower grades.

• Do Engineering courses need A Level Maths?

  It depends on the route. For direct entry to Year 1 at Russell Group universities, 9 of 11 engineering courses we track require A Level Maths alongside the T Level. By contrast, none of the 22 foundation or extended-year engineering courses we track lists A Level Maths as an additional requirement, but those routes add a preliminary Year 0 before the main degree. Outside the Russell Group, direct-entry requirements vary. Always check the grade text and official course page.

• Do Health courses accept any T Level specialism?

  Not always. Many Nursing and Midwifery degrees ask for the matching Supporting the Adult Nursing / Midwifery / Mental Health / Children's specialism. Therapy courses (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language) usually want Supporting the Therapy Teams. If the card shows "Pathway confirmed", the uni has named the specialisms it accepts - if not, email admissions to check.

• My certificate says Education and Childcare, not Education and Early Years. Same thing?

  Yes. Universities publish both titles for the same qualification - Education and Childcare is the older name and Education and Early Years is the current one. Either way, pick Education in the subject toggle. Course pages may use either wording, so search for both if you're checking a specific university.

• How often is this updated?

  Data is compiled from official university admissions pages, last verified July 2026. Entry requirements for 2027 entry are updated by universities between August and October, so always confirm on the official course page before applying.

• What are T Levels equivalent to?

  A T Level is equivalent in size and UCAS tariff to three A Levels. The overall grade maps directly: Distinction* equals A*A*A* (168 UCAS points), Distinction equals AAA (144), Merit equals BBB (120), Pass with a C or above on the core equals CCC (96), and Pass with a D or E core equals DDD (72). So if a uni's offer says "AAA or equivalent", a Distinction T Level usually qualifies.

• How many UCAS points is a T Level worth?

  The overall T Level grade converts to UCAS tariff points as follows: Distinction* = 168, Distinction = 144, Merit = 120, Pass (core grade C or above) = 96, Pass (core grade D or E) = 72. See the full T Level UCAS points table for how each grade maps to A Level equivalents. Each card in the directory also shows the exact UCAS tariff the uni expects for that course.

• Can you get into a Russell Group uni with a T Level?

  Yes. 14 Russell Group universities currently accept at least one T Level subject on at least one course, including Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham, Nottingham, Newcastle and Cardiff. Acceptance is course-specific, not blanket. Filter the directory by "Russell Group only" to see which exact courses are open to you, and look for the "Pathway confirmed" badge for the strongest signal.
