Russell Group is the UK's 24 research-intensive universities (Oxford, Manchester, Leeds and the like). Foundation Year is an extra first year that lets you start a degree without meeting the direct-entry grades. Each university is counted once even when it accepts the T Level on several courses; courses a university turns down are not counted.

How these numbers are counted
- Each course requirement was read from the university's official admissions page and recorded by hand, then verified in July 2026.
- “Merit or above” is measured over courses that publish a T Level grade. Courses assessed case by case, or with no published grade, are excluded from both the numerator and the denominator - so the percentage is not diluted by courses that name no grade.
- Acceptance is recorded course by course, never inferred university-wide. A course counts as accepting unless the university explicitly refuses the T Level for it.
- These figures describe published requirements, not offers. Always confirm the current requirement on the specific course page before applying.
